Saving a Town, One Home at a Time

What makes America successful even in the face of hardship? I say it is the people, people like Tom Roeser of Carpentersville, Illinois. CNN Money released an article about this man’s efforts to help the town’s struggling people have safe, adequate places to live. Roeser has purchased almost 200 of the town’s 9,000 homes. And what does he do with them? He invests a lot of time and money into fixing them up so they can either be resold or rented out at a discounted price. Doing this has encouraged others to clean up their own properties, helped to keep crime down and it has also kept the local plumbers, electricians, and contractors busy with work. So as a shout-out to Tom I say, thank you for helping America one home at a time!
