Sitting on what used to be a goat ranch, Carefree is one of the Valley’s newest towns.
Founded on the late 50s’ as a master planned community, Carefree is bustling with culture with its small town charm, upscale shops and galleries, amazing boulder formations, vibrant sunsets, and beautiful star studded skies.
The vision was to build a community of homes blending in with the natural terrain of the High Sonoran Desert. The town is surrounded by natural preserves, so it is not likely to grow much larger than its cozy population of just under 4000. Carefree has been home to such celebrities such as Lucille Ball, Dick Van Dyke, and Bob Hope.
