Desert Ridge is a master planned community area located in North Phoenix; north of the 101 freeway, at Tatum Blvd.
It is known as an affordable alternative to North Scottsdale with great schools and newer homes.
There are several subdivisions located within Desert Ridge some of which include: Aviano, Fireside at Desert Ridge, La Verne, and Wildcat Ridge. Some of the subdivisions offer amenities such as community centers with tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pools exercise facilities, walking and biking paths, and playgrounds; and others do not.
Desert Ridge has parks, basketball courts, and tennis courts within the community. There are also two major shopping and dining areas. Desert Ridge Marketplace and City North offer big box retailers, specialty shops as well as many dining options. The JW Marriott resort is located within Desert Ridge as well as Wildfire Golf Course.
